Our History

More Than 140 Years on Rózsák tere

Our parish was founded in 1881, having split off from the Terézváros parish. The church was built to the plans of Imre Steindl and consecrated on May 16, 1901, by Bishop Medárd Kohl. The building has been a protected historic monument since 1994 and includes a columbarium.

Our patronal feast: November 19, the feast of St. Elizabeth of the House of Árpád.
